An eventful life

It's official - I love doing school events.

As you might remember from my last post, I was a little apprehensive about heading out into the world. But having now spent so much time with interested, intelligent and generally brilliant audiences up and down the country... well, it was hard to tear myself away. I had to remind myself quite severely that books don't write themselves, I'd better spend some time behind my desk, getting on with book three...

Anyway, I'm back, the latest draft of Book two (The Children of the Lost) is with my excellent editor, and I've finally had a chance to start updating this website again - not a moment too soon.

So, the second part of "A Rose for Remembrance" is now up in "Tales of Agora", and the mystery around Marie's lost memories is beginning to deepen. With any luck the "Media" page will soon be working, with extracts from the American audiobook of The Midnight Charter and a video interview of me trying to sound thoughtful...

Meanwhile, I'm happy to say that I'm soon about to be on my travels again. Next week I'm appearing at the Six Churches Festival in Cornwall. So if you're near the Rock Institute, in Cornwall, at 12pm on Thursday 29th, I'd love to see you there. Parents have the added bonus that Richard and Judy are on immediately afterwards! Actually, the whole festival looks really interesting, so do look at their website for more information. Certainly Literature Festivals can be full of surprises, and I loved doing the Chester Literature Festival, where I was able to appear inside the Cathedral, and assisted by black-cloaked minions. I could get used to that...

I hope to be able to put of some photos of this soon. Until then, I hope you all like the new chapter in "Tales of Agora", and if you enjoy the website, or if you were at any of my events over the last month, do drop me a line in the forum. It would be great to hear from you!

Right, now where did I put my quill pen....
